The Synchronlab product range includes a cross-section of building blocks which can be used to create your optimal Lab system. These building blocks have been designed around the needs of and the feedback from, our customers. All elements show the Synchron trademarks of ease of handling and efficiency of design. We continue to add to our building blocks in response to our customers requirements.
Micro-annular-gear-pump
Unlike most other liquid handlers, the Synchron Xperimate uses a micro gear pump instead of syringe pumps. This technique enables you to use a large variety of fluids, in an unlimited volume range starting from 1µl.
Barcode Control
Synchron offers a wide range of integrated barcode readers to ensure sample tracking throughout you automated process. It is even possible to read a barcode on the cap of a tube, by fixing a barcode reader to the Xperimate’s gripper.
5 & 10 ml disposable tip
In line with the unlimited volume range, it is also possible to use high volume disposable tips. We can offer you 5ml disposable tips, both conductive and non-conductive and have recently developed a 10ml non-conductive disposable tip application. Perfect for your large volume applications.
Capping and decapping
Decapping your sample tubes is a mind numbing and laborious job when working with medium- and high-throughput protocols. The Xperimate liquid handler can cap and decap almost any kind of tube, also avoiding the risk of sample contamination.
Filtration-Positive Pressure
Vacuum filtration is a widely used MTP filtration technique. Besides this technique, we can now offer you a positive pressure filtration unit for 8 wells at a time. All 8 filtration channels work on a individual base, ensuring you the best results.
Heating and cooling
Next to the standard heating and cooling devices like Peltier elements and water cooled decktrays, the Xperimate is able to work under cooled conditions. Laminar flow cabinets can also be provided.
Powder dispenser
The power of the Synchron Powder dispenser lies in the compact form factor of the machine and the possibility to dose multiple types of powders with different dosing strategies. The powderdispenser incorporates a number of techniques to prevent the powder from clotting or sticking and can dose up to 8 different powders using a high precision balance and custom-made software. It can be used as a stand-alone unit or integrated in the Xperimate liquid handler.
Mixing / Homogenising
Mixing and/or homogenising can be done in several ways. For example, it can be done by using magnetic stirrers underneath the deck of the Xperimate or by integrating the unique Covaris technique.
Gravimetric dosing
In addition to the powder dispensing unit, we are also able to offer you gravimetric dosing for both liquids and solids. The gravimetric dosing is closely monitored by the Gravidos software which reports back to the Xperimate software.
Optical recognition (Vision)
Optical recognition, or vision technology, can help you automate any color or shape recognition protocols, like separating serum from blood and micro bacterial inhibition tests. This vision technology is developed in-house and is custom-made.
Corrosion resistance
For handling your corrosive fluids we are able to offer you corrosion resistant coating and flow cabinets that prevent the aggressive fumes affecting your electronics. Also we can supply you with custom-made hardware made out of all sorts of corrosion resistant materials.
96-384 pipetting
The Xperimate liquid handler offers you the flexibility to work with 1-8 needles. If your application requires a higher throughput, we can offer you the Tomtec (www.tomtec.com) stationary head robotics. This can either be a stand alone device or it can be integrated into the Xperimate.
