About the Role

As an Assembly Technician at Synchron Lab Automation, you will be responsible for the precise assembly, testing, and adjustment of various machines, robots, and modules based on technical drawings and work instructions. You will work closely with our engineers to ensure that all components and wiring are installed correctly and that every machine meets our quality standards. You will also identify any deviations or technical issues and collaborate with our engineering team to resolve them quickly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Assembly (80%)

As an Assembly Technician, you will primarily work in our workshop, where our machines, electrical control cabinets, and modules are assembled and tested. Your responsibilities include:

  • Collecting the required components and tools for assembly tasks.
  • Assembling machine frames and structures, such as aluminium extrusion profiles, based on technical instructions.
  • Performing minor metalworking operations on sheet metal and frames, including drilling, tapping, deburring, and other finishing work.
  • Building and wiring electrical control panels and wiring machines according to EPLAN electrical schematics.
  • Testing wiring and electrical control panels.
  • Verifying the operation of sensors, safety circuits, and I/O signals.
  • Maintaining stock levels of assembly materials and consumables, such as clamps and fastening hardware.

Service Support (20%)

As an Assembly Technician, you will become familiar with our systems in detail. Since we are a small and flexible organization, we expect all team members to contribute where needed. Therefore, you will also support our service department.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Performing maintenance and repairing minor faults on our systems, both in-house and at customer sites.
  • Refurbishing and maintaining customer equipment in our workshop.

What We're Looking For

  • A minimum of MBO Level 4 (vocational education) in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • A BBL work-study apprenticeship is also an option.
  • Experience with machine assembly, panel building, or commissioning PLC systems is an advantage.
  • A proactive, independent working attitude with strong attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills in Dutch are essential; proficiency in English is considered an advantage.

  • A full-time position of 40 hours per week.
  • A gross monthly salary between €2,800 and €3,400, based on a 40-hour workweek and depending on relevant experience.
